Just let's focus on the small details when it comes to hitting because now in this game, you with pitching and the velocities and some guys with movement, things have changed to where you may not get a breather for five, six days when it comes to who you're facing in rotations, who you're matching up out of the bullpen.
Yeah.
Those streaks, yeah, they could be extended because the arms that you're facing, you're not coming up for air.
So you're battling each and every at bat, and there's not a fourth or fifth guy that you may run into, especially if you run into the wrong series and you're facing aces everywhere.
And one and two guys and then the back end of bullpens, it's real.
And you hope those times are fewer and far between.
But there's stretches where you take a single and you're happy with a one for four.
And if you get it, you're like, thank God I got at least one out of this thing.
Well, I think to allow people to get into the mindset of a baseball player and a team is when you have guys go down, especially arms that you're relying on going into a season to be those stoppers.
And you look at a Shane Bieber, you look at guys like that who you expect to be on the mound, who...
day-to-day you go from you go through that rotation whether it's trey or you or or thank god tonight dylan's throwing the night and hopefully hopefully as a stopper but you want those arms going back to back to back to where yeah like you said earlier if you score five runs you're going to win a game because your arms are are just they're non-stop through that rotation i think that's what
The organization tried to do in the offseason was build up that rotation, build up those arms so you can have these prolonged streaks of really good arms in your rotation.
But the injuries start piling up and you start putting pressure in areas that they're not necessarily used to.
There's reasons why guys have had the pedigree that they have or get paid the way they do because...
They're expected to win.
They're expected to go out and dominate because that's what they do.
So now you put people in situations and positions so that they're not necessarily equipped to.
Not that they can't do it.
It's just that that's not what their strength is.
And it's the same thing in a lineup.
