Yeah.
Let's hear someone who's actually done it say that.
They don't.
It's tough.
You know, there are dead bodies up there and you're just too exhausted to do anything.
Did you see them?
Oh, hell yeah.
It's a narrow trail.
And you know, some are more covered than others, but people go, well, how can you leave them up there?
People just don't get a sense of what it's like on summit day on Everest.
You are hypoxic.
It's like you're drunk.
You're bound up in all this material to keep you warm.
You can't hear because the wind is so loud.
You can't even recognize your own team members because we all look alike in all of our gear.
It's hard to even figure out what the hell is going on, much less is that person next to me dying or are they just taking a break?
You don't know.
You don't care.
You're just trying to stay alive, especially in bad weather.
So it's a serious place.
