What the hell?
10 of it isn't mine.
So if I lose it, I lose it.
And I think...
Something that my grandparents used to always say was that if you go out and buy a lotto ticket and you lose, it's gone.
You know, like that's it.
Your money's gone.
Whereas with the share market, if it's gone down, it's not gone completely.
And so I thought, well, that seems so silly.
Why are more people not doing that?
They did.
My grandparents did.
They had shares from their parents, which they then inherited, which then my parents got.
Yep.
So they're really rich.
I don't think mum and dad actually had shares until they inherited it.
But then after that...
when they got that later in life were like, oh God, why weren't we doing this sooner and started putting a little bit of money aside for that?
Yeah.
And my granddad was always like, oh, you know, make sure you're investing.
