My mom's bedroom was in the front.
My bedroom was in the back.
She's a young woman.
She's a beautiful woman.
She had a super cool boyfriend and I slept in my bed alone.
You were the only child at that point?
And I went to sleep.
My little twin bed was right up against the wall.
My upper torso was next to the wall.
From my knees down, it was in front of a window.
Just as I was about to fall asleep, there was a light in the backyard, and I had whatever the fucking house came with, these shades that were kind of pulled down, an opaque shade, so you could see through it.
And just as I was falling asleep, I saw someone crawl in front of my window, because there was a roof right outside of it.
It was two stories.
I don't know if it was a man or a woman.
I have no idea.
I think we can assume it's a man.
He was on his knees and he was just sitting there like perfectly outlined in my window, his whole body.
And I couldn't scream.
