And there's that disdain and that, you know, disgust and that, you know, we've all had that experience.
Everyone that's had endometriosis has had, even from female doctors, which is the most shocking, I think.
Well, that's it.
And I think that's really important.
I know when my son broke his ankle and, oh my goodness, they were just like, so, you know, the orthopedics were like, right, we need to get him to have surgery.
And I was just like, no, I don't want it.
But, you know...
It's a very long story, but my son ended up having the surgery.
He ended up getting a plate put on his ankle, which then became infected.
He was on horse-size antibiotics, a few double doses for eight months.
And I was just saying to him,
okay, honey, I hope you've learned.
Surgery isn't always the best way forward.
You could have put that ankle in a cast and it would have been fine because they had to end up having a second surgery to get the plate removed because it was, oh my goodness, we thought we were going to lose him.
You know, just...
But again, we don't know until we tend to have these experiences or we've heard from other people that there is another way.
And I think I was asked down to speak at a dinner last weekend and another speaker had got up and said, I thought endometriosis was a life sentence.
I've just learned that you could actually do something different.
And that was really awesome for me.
There's no magic bullet.
