I think it was mostly just the lack of self-inflicted wounds in the third quarter.
For really most of the game, fourth quarter included, but really in the first half, it was the lack of attention to detail, which has really stood out to me.
Not just in this game for Miami, but recently.
You know, in a recent loss to Milwaukee earlier in the week, they lost the turnover battle in this game.
They lost the offensive rebounding battle in this game.
They gave up 50 points in the paint.
Very unheat-like.
Very un-Bam Adebayo and Eric Spolstra-like.
And that's been an issue for the Heat.
Like I said recently, this is not a team that is talented enough to get away with not winning those detail things, right?
Like the Heat, the whole Heat culture thing is we do the details.
We are the masters of the margins.
And in this game, they certainly weren't.
And I think that's what cost them.
But to your point, in the third quarter, they cleaned that stuff up.
But in the fourth quarter, kind of got away from them again.
I mean, you're right.
He is too good to come off the bench.
He's graduated from that.
This is a former sixth man of the year who graduated to starter and has rarely come off the bench over the last three years.
