Do you think that MPs, at least some MPs, are in denial?
Yes, unquestionably.
And I understand it.
And that's why I don't say it with harsh judgment.
Well, certainly.
Certainly.
It's not just that the voters don't understand the Prime Minister and don't connect with him.
I think the same is true the other way around.
I don't think he understands...
where the country is, why people are feeling the way they do.
And he certainly doesn't have a plan.
And in some ways, whenever I see my friends in the cabinet out on the airwaves at the moment and they're being asked to sort of, you know, do you support Keir Starmer question?
There's no point asking them that question.
They're still in the cabinet.
And although a majority of them have said sat at the timetable, they're not going to go on the airwaves and say that.
The question, I think, that needs to be put to the prime minister, who says he's determined to stay on in these circumstances, is...
why, and with what plan, why should we have confidence that you can turn this around?
Why should we have confidence that you're going to deliver the change that people voted for?
And why should we have confidence that you can see off Nigel Farage at the next general election?
Because we're not just looking at polls now, we're looking at results.
