Yeah. Yeah. These are documents. Well, in terms of the Bible, like as someone who identifies as a Christian, I would say that these are the Bible is written for you, but it wasn't written to you. It had a completely different original audience.

But you should do your best at figuring out who it was written to and how that made a difference to them, because then the application is going to come out even clearer for you. And that should be ultimately the goal of everyone who's looking at ancient documents. Who was the original audience? How would they have understood it?

He's fun. I'm not convinced he could read Sumerian either. Really? Yeah. I think he was bullshitting. I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt. He takes so many liberties with the stuff he's commenting on that I have a hard time getting my head around.
