When you look at how this roster was built and just the mistakes, it's like the depth, right?
Like, okay, I'll give us Hyman.
I'll give us Nuge, right?
And then you give Pod Colson.
That guy's been phenomenal for a great player.
But it's Kunitz, Kessel, Hagelin, Bonino, Connor Sheery, Rust, and then the D, like that one cup, Trevor Daly, Ian Cole, like β
They just never were built the same way another similar team with two generational superstar talents were, and then they didn't get goaltending.
And now at this point, people say this year it wasn't the goal.
The goaltending wasn't good, but it's not just the goaltending.
At the same time, and I'm all over the place, look at the goalies, man.
Look at the goalies they had.
And that Jari trade, that was a complete disaster.
He was the backup.
And if you kept Skinner, who'd been to two cup finals, now you have Ingram and Skinner who are both UFAs, and you kind of got a clean slate.
