I mean, obviously a state couldn't just say it is now a crime in Minnesota to enforce immigration law, right?
Some people on social media were freaking out because they sort of thought, they said like, oh, this can be removed to federal court and then Trump can pardon the officer.
I don't think that that's correct.
To the extent that happens, I imagine it will take quite some time to trickle up through the legal system.
Although, you know, you could totally imagine this being the subject of interim orders, right?
Well, we will see what happens.
Okay, so the one thing we actually wanted to talk about, Trump versus Illinois.
This is the National Guard decision about which I've blogged a bit on the Interim Docket blog, controversially named.
You know, we were tied up with the holidays.
So this came down December 23rd, 2025.
At least, you know, on their way to freezing.
