When Kelly sees her new friend's unexpected reaction, she decides to ask her on a walk.

On the trek, Cadet Kelly learns about the school's decorated and storied drill team, a cornerstone of the institution.

They also bump into Sir on the way home, and Kelly says they're on their way to their house to pick out dresses for the dance.

He adorably suggests they pick up something nice.

Now, the first time you saw it, this is my first time, was there any part of you that thought he was going to turn out to be a really good guy and a good dad?

I thought they were going to go straight up Disney Channel where he was going to be like the rigid sir.

They were never going to get along.

Maybe at the end something was going to happen.

But not like this to what they did with the character.

Yeah.

Like a caricature of the commandant of a school.

That's what I thought it was going to be too.

This is the first inclination that he's like a normal guy.

And I was like, okay, he is trying.

This is cool.

Um, and I, I really liked how they did that with the character because they easily could have just made him a jerk the whole way through done the, the straight up Disney channel kind of caricature of the stern general.

And, uh, they didn't, they, they gave him some depth and then he cast Gary Cole, which is,
