I'm certainly thrown by the fact that the ball rebounded 20 metres.
So that's unlikely to have happened off his hand, obviously.
The ball would have just flopped in front of him.
So certainly a good portion of the ball hit the head.

And it is possible it can brush his hand and hit the head and he'd get a bit of purchase in the header.
