He used to feed the parakeets in High Park.
Parakeet came flying into the house.
Next week, a pigeon was in my house and I'd shut it in, but I don't know how I'd shut it in.
And then I came out one day and I heard this noise.
I mean, it was just like a... It was a bird cry, but a cry of terror.
And a sparrowhawk was chasing a blackbird into my honeysuckle out at the front of my house.
And this all happened a week after my brother died.
And they say that birds come and visit, don't they?
I mean, there's a reason why I think...
birds sort of feature so much in you know shamanism and things like that you know the sort of condor or the bird that sort of flies above and watches over our lives you know almost like our sort of true watching self you know observing the highs the lows and the phoenix yes the phoenix very symbolic and i remember trails
Matthew and I were in Mull last summer and we saw the sea eagles.
And there's a bit of a thing about maybe they're pushing out the golden eagles.
There's a bit of things about that.
But we were both crying when we saw it.
And I don't know if it's something... I could cry now thinking about it.
I don't know if they represent, like, a freedom or an ease when you see them, you know?
