So you
It's not like America is just full of narcissists and Poland isn't.
That's not kind of how it worked.
It's that there's kind of differing degrees, countries kind of differ, but there's really, really narcissistic people in every country.
And there's also super, super humble people and those who diminish their accomplishments and kind of are wallflowers.
So, yeah, one takeaway is just how pervasive narcissism is and also isn't.
Yeah, and that was one of the impetus or, you know, driving forces of the study is that we saw a bunch of demographic differences where men on average were more narcissistic.
Younger people were more narcissistic.
And it's really unfortunate because I hate like piling on to younger people.
I feel like they get a bad rap.
Yeah, a little bit.
Yeah.
So it's a tough needle to thread or thread to needle where, you know, on average, when you are younger, you are a little full of yourself.
But by and large, most people, that declines across lifespan.
So they get feedback that they're maybe not as amazing as they think.
They take on a bunch of roles that make them more responsible people.
So, you know, we would see things like that in a lot of American studies, but there hadn't been a lot done in other studies, only like three that we could find in nearly 50 years of research that looked at it across cultures.
And what we found is that that stuff is the same, actually.
So, you know, we'll talk a lot about how countries differ on narcissism, but if you're a younger adult in Poland, Serbia, France, the United States, odds are you're probably more narcissistic than middle-aged and older adults.
Yeah, so there's some consistency, like I just said.
