I've seen dogs and cats right out of their mind leaving home and not coming back for weeks.

All sorts of things are happening these days and we are saying frankly

Enough's enough.

You've got the havoc created by the need for fire engines to tend to fires that started this way.

You've got all sorts of fires that started this way.

You've got all sorts of ACC costs, well over millions and millions of dollars as a consequence of this.

And every year it just compounds.

And so we are saying, surely...

The public approved display should be the limit of that and the kind of behaviour that you see in far too many towns and cities and countryside in New Zealand should stop.

I'm not on to talk about the National Party losing support or other parties losing support.

I'm on to talk about a party called New Zealand First.

We don't win this election.

This country's heading off to a much, much, much, much more desperate place than we are at the moment.

And we could be, and we must be doing better than we're doing now, and we've got to turn our mind to that.

But the alternative is horrifying.

Because the National Party's not for it.

The ACT Party's not for it.

I mean, they've got their policies which are to stagger on with the Commerce Commission that's not working.

The Labour Party's policy was the Groceries Commissioner, which is a totally toothless tiger.

And we need to do something dramatically like they did in Australia.
