So this one's kind of interesting because a lot of these are essentially ghost distilleries, if you will, in the fact that a distillery will make and bottle stuff.
the spirit for Kirkland and just put the Kirkland label on it.
In this case, it is blended.
It's actually likely going to be multiple.
So for something to be a blended Scotch whiskey, it means that it's coming from multiple distilleries.
And so likely they are buying batches of Scotch from other distilleries and then blending it in-house.
And so it's probably being blended
Well, it might need to be blended actually in Scotland because that's the legal requirement isn't bottling in Scotland, but it is being blended for Kirkland.
And so it didn't... I'm not a huge connoisseur of blended Scotch whiskeys, so I couldn't necessarily say if it tasted like any one particular, but I will say that...
As someone who has recently fallen in love with Dewar's White Label, something that I avoided forever because I thought it was just a cheap, crappy scotch.
And it is affordable, but it is not crappy in any way, shape, or form.
And I like that in the fact that you can taste all the different areas of Scotland in the sip.
This one is...
I could definitely taste a lot of that spey, that kind of spicy cinnamon type flavor that I associate with the speyside scotches.
A hint of the Isla, but then a nice heavy highland base.
And again, I don't have any experience with lowland scotches.
If someone knows...
like a distillery that exports to the United States that's from the lowland region, I would love to get my hands on, you know, preferably a couple of different bottles just to compare them to see what is lowland Scotch whiskey compared to Highland or Island or Spey.
But either way, again, another glowing remark of the, if there's a spirit that you like and they sell it at Costco, pick it up.
It's a retirement community.
