But he was cacking at some very basic questions that any left-winger would.
So I would say that in my experience...
the sort of how trivial it is to meet people who are famous sort of goes away if you do it for long enough.
And I've just found that Owen Jones, he's not that particularly intellectually special.
He's just sort of someone who's been around a lot.
So he approached me and because of my affiliations with Restore Britain, I don't have any formal position, I just advocate for them.
And also the fact that I'm a right winger and I, you know, push for emigration and deportations and stuff.
And he was basically asking me some questions on like comms and Restore Britain, like some of the online support for Restore Britain on the right.
And also like my policy on deportations.
But towards the end, I was able to like poke at him for some questions about the Unholy Alliance.
So I asked him a question on...
Do you think it is consistent with your worldview as a left-wing progressive to accept a coalition of radically conservative Muslims that don't believe in trans rights, that don't believe in the rights of the LGBTQ plus community?
And what he essentially said is, look,
we're going to unite because one pushes multiculturalism and these people can stay and the right obviously believes in like a moderate migration policy.
And then I gave him the example of the independent candidate alliance with Haka Majikub.
It's a demonstration that as soon as the Muslims gain enough power, as soon as there's enough democratic security amongst foreign populations, they have the political force to detach themselves from the progressive left wing.
And he sort of fumbled it.
I then went on to ask him,
are Islamic values compatible with the left?
And besides the fact he gave a caveat arguing that Christian principles aren't, and I just conceded that for the sake of the discussion, he agreed with me that the views of the Sunni Orthodox Muslims are not compatible with his own.
