He said that 34-year-old Chinese national Xu Ziwei has been extradited to the United States to face charges for stealing research from American scientists and participating in a hacking campaign targeting thousands of U.S.

Patel explained how Zouai targeted specific virologists and immunologists from key universities with, quote, aggravated identity theft.
Zouai was arrested in Milan, Italy on April 27th, years after a bench warrant was first issued for him in 2023.
