common sense things that if we had our eye on the ball, we'd say, this is just good to do.
We should employ our people, supporting our kids to grow their food.
But it hasn't.
95% is imported.
And it's garbage.
Like, we know what... How many other people are running?
In the primary, there's five people running in it.
And you know, this is all about getting a message out.
I think the number one thing is nobody knows who I am.
I've never ran for office.
So one of the people on there, the only reason that they're as high as they are is because they have and they've been elected and they have name recognition.
But I know that the message that we're putting forward about putting Iowa first, about saving our family farms, the things I just mentioned, I know those things resonate.
I don't need a poll to tell me they resonate.
I hear it from my neighbors.
Like, so often when I'm talking to them, they're talking about issues in private that politicians aren't talking about in public.
They're not talking about them.
You go to the cafe and you lean in and you hear what the farmers are talking about, it's the things I'm talking about.
The problem is they felt like they haven't had anybody, I believe, and I'm not gonna speak for them, and this is how I felt, that there's nobody out there that's willing to give them a voice.
It's willing to say we shouldn't give a Chinese company millions of dollars of tax breaks paid for by Iowans.
That we shouldn't have a data center getting $529 million in property tax abatement.
