And I think the Teixeira one, not to interrupt you, sorry.
Yeah, no.
The Teixeira actually came to mind
it relates to the bregman situation with the red sox because and i have no idea if what's out there is true in terms of what they offered or that they didn't believe scott had something better but you know we kind of called scott's bluff with tashara and then realized oh no he did have something better with the yankees and that to i learned a lesson i'm sure others did too that like when you get down to it sure scott's gonna like a lot of agents are gonna
say it's going to take this, it's going to take this, you know, at least this many years, it's going to take these kinds of dollars, but he's not making stuff up when he says, I have this, right.
There's a difference between saying, this is what we're, this is what it's going to take versus, you know, I have something that we, we think is better.
So if you're going to play, you got to, you should take that.

It all worked out for both teams, but it just felt like it was a gut punch when we didn't get him.
Yeah.

I mean, and there's, I think Andrew Freeman has said, I've seen the quote all over the place.
If you're going to try to win every deal by a dollar, you're going to finish third in all the biddings because it's an auction and it's most, you know, 90% or more of the time, it's going to be to the highest bidder.
And, you know, you usually don't win that by a dollar.
So I think that what I've observed from the outside for several years now with the Red Sox is that
It appears that that's what they've tried to do at times.
And that's really hard.
