Sam confronts Cain, who challenges him to a fight to test his true power. Cain, unimpressed with Sam's potential as a god, threatens to kill the people Sam just saved unless Sam agrees to battle. Sam accepts the challenge and transports the Ruiz family and Michael to safety before facing Cain. The fight begins when Cain sneaks in a cheap shot, but Sam, unfazed, unleashes his power. The two engage in a fierce, high-speed battle, exchanging devastating blows that shake the mountains. Despite Cain's experience and strength, Sam matches him in power, demonstrating his new abilities, including teleportation and gravity manipulation.The fight reaches a turning point when Sam, using his intellect, neutralizes Cain by removing his hands and pinning him down with overwhelming force, causing Cain to vomit blood. Sam, however, chooses not to kill Cain, quoting Ismael's words about the power of forgiveness. With Michael's help, Sam heals Cain's body, though Cain's ego is severely damaged. Cain acknowledges Sam's and Malice's impressive power, but Malice warns that their combined strength would have annihilated him.
