17 Feb 2023

Description

(In English) Matthew Ward is a professor of Communication Studies. He teaches public speaking, interpersonal communication and argumentation. In this episode we talk about the essential skills of public speaking, 5 stages of performance anxiety, the fear of public speaking and the reason for it. Prof. Matthew mentions a few great tips if you want to get more comfortable on stage, in work meetings or speaking at social events and they are: - Don't wing it! Even if the speech should be impromptu, have some structure, where you want to start and know what your message is. - A strong delivery is essential to get the message across. Practice to appear more charismatic, if you weren't born that way :) - Know your target audience. And adapt your message and delivery to fit them. - Practice and repetition makes you more comfortable. Simple but great. 1-2-3 Öppna ögonen är podden för dig som intresserar dig för terapi, personlig utveckling, magiska transformationer, den mänskliga och andliga upplevelsen.
