Noel Sullivan "I have so much respect for people who know who they are"

Nigel's guest today is performer Noel Sullivan. Noel is best known for being one fifth of the early noughties group Hear’Say who formed on the TV show Popstars and saw their first single Pure & Simple become the fastest selling number one single in the UK charts at the time. But despite the band’s albeit short-lived success Noel’s time as part of Hear’Say was not always a happy one as he was told to hide his sexuality and suffered huge dark clouds about the life he was being forced to live. But these days Noel is a hugely respected theatre star and happily married to the man who helped him cope with the difficulties he has experienced.This series is a celebration of a beautiful queer community; people of all ages, people who have had to tread their own path to live their real truth, who have fought with their emotions and emerged victorious, who inspire, who aspire and always entertain.
