A Novel Adaptation

52 - A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett

15 Mar 2021

Description

Come be a princess with us! Yes, you! All little girls are princesses (age is irrelevant here). We profess our love of magical realism and commend this movie for its beautiful visual storytelling. We also find a few holes in the movie plot that make it tough to fully believe this story - even though we totally believe in the magic. Come relive Jordan's childhood with us!   Episode Drink: A Mango Lassi   Ingredients 1 cup chopped very ripe mango (see how to peel and chop mango), frozen chopped mango, or a cup of canned mango pulp 1 cup plain yogurt 1/2 cup milk 4 teaspoons honey or sugar, more or less to taste A dash of ground cardamom (optional) Ice (optional)   Instructions Put mango, yogurt, milk, sugar and cardamom into a blender and blend for 2 minutes. If you want a more milkshake consistency and it's a hot day, either blend in some ice as well or serve over ice cubes. Pour contents into a glass and sprinkle with a tiny pinch of ground cardamom to serve. The lassi can be kept refrigerated for up to 24 hours.   Recipe From: Simply Recipes   Our Drinking Game for this Story  Take a drink: Everytime Sara recites the Ramyana  Everytime Lavinia is a snot Everytime you can tell Miss Minchin is so obviously jealous of Sara Everytime Miss Amelia acts like she's out of a harlequin novel Take two drinks during Lottie's meltdowns Finish your drink when you just melt of all the warms Indie Bookstore Recs: Jordan: Tattered Cover Bookstore - Denver, CO Em: Ada's Technical Books and Cafe - Seattle, WA   A Novel Adaptation was created by Emily Eppley and Jordan Redwine.
