I have many years of experience of managing and teaching dental care professionals who are undertaking Diploma programmes in relation to Oral Health, with a registrable qualifications as Dental Hygienists and Dental Therapists. I am also currently managing and teaching the Certificate in Oral Health Education programme, which is a distance learning programme, primarily targeted towards qualified Dental Nurses who wish to expand their knowledge and skills. In 2003 I was recognised as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I am a leading dental hygienist/therapist in the UK, with a substantial professional reputation gained over many years through working in collaboration with dental leaders and organisations. I was awarded the coveted title of 'Hygienist of the Year' in 2007 which is recognition by dental leaders. I work with a number of national organisations and professional bodies to promote dental hygienists and therapists both at undergraduate and post-registration level.
