Episode 004 | Dr. Adam Swigost on his journey to building a solo direct care practice in his home state of North Dakota.Dr. Adam Swigost is a board-certified dermatologist and the founder of Dapper Dermatology, North Dakota's first and only entirely virtual dermatology clinic. As a North Dakota native, Dr. Swigost wanted to create a clinic that would help to expand access to dermatology services in a state where wait times can exceed several months. Additionally, Dapper Dermatology is a direct patient care clinic that is working to lower costs, increase financial transparency, and improve access to dermatology services. Dr. Swigost is an advocate for physician autonomy and reinvigorating the patient-physician relationship. Dr. Swigost completed his undergraduate degrees and medical training at the University of North Dakota. He completed his internship through the University of Central Florida in Ocala, FL, and his dermatology residency at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital and Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC.
