All’ingresso di Viale dei Cipressi accedi al borgo di Santa Maria con la sua corte rettangolare e i suoi due grandi porticati, sede storica di uno dei più importanti mercati della Brianza per il commercio della seta. Al suo interno trovi il Santuario di Santa Maria della Noce, costruito a partire dal 1519 sul luogo dove, secondo tradizione, nell’anno 1501, la Vergine apparve tra i rami di un noce per soccorrere due bambini che si erano persi nel bosco in cerca di legna.
