Accountants and their clients will have some unique strategy dilemmas to consider in the lead up to 30 June this year. Tim Miller,  SMSF technical and education manager at Smarter SMSF and Smarter SMSF chief executive Aaron Dunn share a range of tips, traps and strategies SMSF professionals can look to employ with their clients in the lead up to 30 June. Mr Miller highlights some of the key contribution strategies to think about and why increasing mortgage repayments may drive an uptick in downsizer contributions, particularly in the 55 to 65 age group. He also discusses some of the dilemmas faced by SMSF professionals and their clients in relation to pensions with the general transfer balance cap set to index to $1.9 million on 1 July.
