Does sound travel differently in Kentucky bourbon than it does in other types of alcohol? Stanley A. Cheyne of Hamden-Sydney College pondered this question before the 177th ASA meeting in Louisville, Kentucky. Twenty or so types of whiskey later, he’d made some interesting discoveries, both about whiskey and about how distilleries measure alcohol concentration.
