ADD Storytelling

Ep 10. American Indigenous Gender Anthology

04 Nov 2021

Description

Welcome to episode 10! A milestone that we don't mention or celebrate in the episode. Today, Maddie dives into the sacred stories that give certain two-spirit identities in American First Nation tribes their place in tribal society. Though there are many identities that fall under the umbrella term of "two-spirit", we focus today mainly on the Hawaiian Māhū, the Diné Nadleehi, the Cree's multiple animate identities, and the Zuni civilizations. The episode begins with a definitional segment on two-spiritedness today.  Thanks so much for being with us for 10 episodes!
