LABELING IS DISABLING is a powerful episode with Cris Rowan, a pediatric occupational therapist, biologist, international speaker and author. Cris is super passionate about changing the ways in which children use technology. She has provided over 350 workshops on screens and kids and recently created Reconnect Webinars for teens, parents, teachers and clinicians providing research and strategies to manage balance between screens and healthy activities. Cris is author of "Virtual Child - The terrifying truth about what technology is doing to children”, publishes the free Child Development Series newsletter, and writes a monthly blog post for Moving to Learn. Cris has two children Matt and Katie who are 42 and 28 years old and who survived and thrived growing up unplugged.
