Shanna is joined by Elba Rivas, LCSW, a social worker with palliative care at Adventist HealthCare White Oak Medical Center and Natasha Dotrang, LCSW, a social worker with palliative care at Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center to discuss mental health resources that are available for cancer patients. Navigating a cancer diagnosis can be difficult, but there are various resources available not only for patients, but their caregivers. Both, the Aquilino Cancer Center and the White Oak Cancer Center offer free wellness classes to cancer patients and their caregivers who are receiving treatment in Montgomery County, MD.
