Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Joy always dreamed of becoming a park ranger. She currently works at one of Washington’s busiest state parks and always has a smiling face when answering visitor's questions. Throughout the year, she leads guided hikes, coordinates special events and develops several park-run programs. On this episode, we talk about her love for the outdoors, how others can help protect our natural spaces and the typical career path to becoming a full-time park ranger.
