So is this an indication of what we can expect in the future - big weather events becoming more regular and normalised? And what part does climate change play in all this? 2024 New Zealander of the year Dr Jim Salinger has spent almost 50 years advancing climate science; he is recognised as one of the first scientists to address global warming. He joins Jesse.
