On September 20, 2017, the strongest storm to hit Puerto Rico in almost a century – Hurricane Maria – made landfall. The results were devastating… almost 3,000 deaths, $1 billion in damage, and the longest power blackout in US history. One year later, we take a look back at Puerto Rico with AGCS’ only full-time employee on the island. Jackie Otero, Senior Claims Adjuster with AGCS, joins the podcast to tell the story of Hurricane Maria and how she, her family, and her neighbors didn’t budge in the eye of the storm and how she was there to help customers who were trying to get back in business. The Jackie Otero story from the current edition of Global Risk Dialogue is available for download, here: http://bit.ly/GRD_Maria You can find all of our AGCS Expert commentary and content by following us on Twitter @AGCS_Insurance (https://twitter.com/AGCS_Insurance) and on LinkedIn at "Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty” (https://www.linkedin.com/company/allianz-global-corporate-&-specialty-agcs-/).
