"We need to start thinking about how we can use AI to break down some of these borders, to break down some of these jurisdictions and to make sure that we work together as humans, not just as different countries" — Kate MacDonald Kate MacDonald is the New Zealand Government Fellow to the World Economic Forum and the Government representative to the OECD Network of AI Experts, working in the areas of artificial intelligence and regulation. Kate is an experienced civil servant, with a background in policy, international relations and futures thinking, and has spent the last ten years working in the areas of cybersecurity and digital policy. She has held various roles for the New Zealand government, including setting up the new Digital Minister’s office and working closely with New Zealand’s international partners in the Digital Nations group. While home in New Zealand, she is currently based at the Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment, where she is working on digital and AI policy. This episode is brought to you by Audible!
