#7: Ethicability: How to Decide What's Right and Find the Courage to Do it
25 Mar 2020
I don't believe that AI is ever going to be capable of resolving ethical dilemmas in a way that we can all agree about - Roger Steare Professor Roger Steare is internationally recognized as one of the leading experts advising the Boards and executive teams on building high performing, ethical organizations. His work with BP after the Gulf of Mexico disaster has been crucial to the company’s recovery plan, with Roger’s decision-making framework and leadership training endorsed within the US Department of Justice Consent Agreement of 2016. He has advised Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds Bank and RBS after the credit crisis, PPI mis-selling and Libor manipulation scandals, with his work publicly endorsed by the Financial Conduct. He is the author of "ethicability" and "Thinking outside the inbox"; and co-designer of the MoralDNA, a psychometric profile that measures moral values and decision-making preferences, which has a database of over 70,000 people from more than 200 countries. He has been described as a "disruptive", "provocative" and "world-class" keynote speaker on leadership, culture and ethics. His work has also been profiled in The Times, the Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, Les Echos and The Guardian. This conversation covered a wide range of topics, from the ethical challenges of AI and other technologies to Superintelligence. Got questions or interested in sponsoring the podcast?
