Central Casting AI provides game developers with pre-trained non-player characters (NPCs) for games. These characters come with intelligence, behaviors and dialogue that can interact with objects in the real world. In this podcast Co-Founder Jeff Orkin talks about how Central Casting encodes the rules of common sense in to the characters, the business of the video game industry and the gaming community’s future with AI. The company uses the generative models at the developers’ authoring time to assist designers to then output a traditional structured model of behavior called a planning domain in a hierarchal task network planner.
