New AI model beats GPT, realtime video games, AI detects cancer, mushroom powered robots

AINU is a new AI capable of detecting cancer and viral infections with remarkable precision through high-resolution cell image analysis. Meanwhile, 1X Technologies introduced NEO, a humanoid robot designed for home assistance, and Alibaba's Qwen2-VL outperforms GPT-4o in vision-language tasks. Other innovations include biohybrid robots controlled by mushrooms, Google’s GameNGen for real-time game simulation, and Magic's LTM-2-mini AI model that processes vast amounts of data efficiently. Additionally, OpenAI is seeking substantial funding to support its AI development, while safety evaluations are being conducted for AI models in collaboration with the U.S. government.
