Purpose is powerful, and the search for purpose can play a critical role in our kids' development. But what does the search for purpose look like in the age of Artificial Intelligence?Heather Malin is the former director of research at the Center on Adolescence at Stanford University. Her research focused on how young people develop a sense of purpose and contribute to their communities and society. Heather is the author of the book, Teaching for Purpose: Preparing Students for Lives of Meaning. Recently, Heather has been writing about the impact of AI on adolescents and how artificial intelligence could be a positive influence and a powerful tool to support our kids’ search for purpose.AI-Proof is a podcast for parents and educators about preparing our kids for a future infused with Artificial Intelligence. In the coming months, we’ll speak with creators who are using AI in innovative and thought-provoking ways, journalists who are raising concerns about AI’s impact on children's mental health, and experts who will remind us what AI is—and what it isn't.
