Filla del xòfer de Miquel Maura, fill d'Antoni Maura, Rosa Munuera va viure la Guerra Civil entre Madrid, Catalunya i França. En tornar, es va posar al servei d'una de les famílies més importants del franquisme i, com a criada, va arribar a Mallorca, on va conèixer el seu marit.
