Join us for grand rounds this week where Dr. Megan Deck, a cardiac anesthesiologist working in Winnipeg at the University of Manitoba, discusses an approach to pulmonary hypertension for the non-cardiac anesthesiologist. Dr. Deck is a homegrown prairie girl, born and raised in Regina, SK. She completed her medical school and anesthesiology residency training at the U of S, and earned her FRCPC in Anesthesiology in 2022. She went to complete fellowship training in Cardiac Anesthesiology at the University of Manitoba in 2023, including certification in advanced perioperative transesophageal echocardiography. Dr. Deck currently works as a general and cardiac anesthesiologist within the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine at the University of Manitoba. Outside of work, she enjoys running, cycling, and road trips home to the land of the living skies.
