★akikos-book-club★ 今回の著者は『14歳で“おっちゃん”と出会ってから、15年考えつづけてやっと見つけた「働く意味」』を書かれた川口加奈さん。ホームレス問題の現状をインタビューするだけにとどまらず、ボランティアは偽善行為？思いやりだけで社会問題は解決する？自分を犠牲にしないと誰かを助けられない？などなど、個人と社会のあり方にまで話を進めます。見えてきたのは「自分」と「内なる自分」の関係なのかも... 川口加奈さんプロフィール：認定NPO法人Homedoor 理事長 14歳でホームレス問題に出合い、ホームレス襲撃事件の解決を目指し、炊き出しやワークショップなどの活動を開始。17歳で米国ボランティア親善大使に選ばれる。19歳のとき、路上から脱出したいと思ったら誰もが脱出できる「選択肢」がある社会を目指してHomedoor（ホームドア）を設立し、ホームレスの人の７割が得意とする自転車修理技術を活かしたシェアサイクルHUBchari（ハブチャリ）事業を開始。世界経済フォーラム（通称・ダボス会議）のGlobal Shapersや日経WOMAN「ウーマン・オブ・ザ・イヤー2019」、フォーブス誌による日本を変える30歳未満の30人「30 UNDER 30 JAPAN」、青年版国民栄誉賞とされる日本青年会議所主催の「第31回 人間力大賞グランプリ・内閣総理大臣奨励賞」など、受賞多数。
