Mike chats with the Founder and Chair of Community Partners Against Hate Jay Jacobson & State Representative and Community Partner Doug Owens. Established in 2019 and sponsored by the Utah Federation, Community Partners Against Hate unites diverse community leaders, Salt Lake officials, and representatives to collectively advocate for increased reporting of hate crimes. The group offers support during incidents of hate and collaborates on awareness initiatives. In 2023, they raised awareness about antisemitism and other hatred through a Hate Crimes Booklet and PSA, working with school districts to address incidents. In 2024, the Community Partners plan films, a youth summit against hate, and lobbying for a statewide hotline to report bias and hate incidents. www.ShalomUtah.org/Community-Partners
