Yannis has also been featured on National Geographic in When Sharks Attack 360 and Sharkcano: Hawaii. He is an Associate Professor at Florida International University (FIU) in the Department of Biological Sciences. He earned his B.S. in Oceanography from University of Southampton, M.S. from California State University, and Ph.D. from the University of Hawaii. Credited in countless publications and on networks like National Geographic and BBC, he has made big strides in the shark research community.
