Guess Hoo Powerful Owls are the ghost birds of the Sydney cityscape — you’d be lucky to spot one without help. And even then, the bird-watching community likes to keep Powerful Owl locations on the down low to protect them. Amelia, a self-confessed “bird nerd”, has never seen any type of owl in the wild but maybe that is all about to change.
