For those of us who love swimming in crystal clear water, beside white sand beaches, the Outer Hebrides is a dream destination. Colin Macleod swims there daily (albeit just short dips at the moment during the current restrictions, and the Coastguard is informed).Colin shares stories about swimming and swim camping around the islands off the Outer Hebrides; about being part of the relay team that swam sixty miles from St Kilda; about being rescued from an attempt to swim from the Isle of Lewis to the mainland. Colin also tells what it was likely to successfully complete that epic swim, only the second person to achieve it, heading back home across The Minch. He also has a few suggestions for those who want to dip their toes into wild swimming. Our chat was recorded a couple of weeks ago at the start of the COVID19 restrictions.Colin's websiteFacebook Twitter YouTube Instagram Flannan Islands StoryPlease buy me a virtual coffee and support the podcastCheck out our YouTube channel
