We're so glad you're joining us today for another heartfelt chat.In this episode, we’re diving into a topic we know many of you will relate to: the tension between wanting to be good, kind, and giving while learning to balance that with the realities of life and our human limits.1. The Myth of Goodness:Being "nice" or a "good person" often comes with perfectionistic definitions that set us up for self-doubt.2. Perfectionism’s Trap:High performers, like doctors, are especially prone to believing they must operate at 10/10 all the time. This mindset not only leads to burnout but also undercuts our ability to appreciate our efforts.3. Redefining Goodness:Instead of striving for perfection, we can focus on showing up with authenticity and giving our best within the energy we have each day.4. Boundaries Are Key:Being kind to yourself and setting healthy limits allows you to sustainably care for others without depleting your own reserves.5. Rejecting Perfectionistic Thinking:Learning to validate our own efforts, even when they’re not “perfect,” creates space for compassion and growth. We’d love to hear your thoughts on this episode!
