What is the 2026 Socialism Conference and why is it going viral?

The fantasy of being fitter than the fascists. Fitness
is fascism. GLP ones are an attack on black flesh. We should be learning indigenous languages to connect with one another, and protests need to start shutting down airports. These were all things discussed at the 2026 Socialism Conference. And aren't you glad that socialism is on the rise in America? Let's talk about it.
Yeah yeah better.
Guys, before we get into today's video, please consider liking and subscribing. Today we're gonna be watching some clips, guys. And these clips give me PTSD because they remind me of my former leftist self when I was working at a left-leaning organization and doing stuff just like this. Now, today we're getting into a 2026 socialism conference. It took place just a few days ago in Chicago. First, we're gonna head over to their website and learn a little bit about what these individuals are getting together to do. Although you can probably imagine it. It says socialism. 2026 is a four-day conference bringing together thousands of socialists and radical activists from around the country to take part in discussions about social movements, abolition, Marxism, decolonization, working class history, and the debates and strategies for organizing today.
Does this sound like a room you want to be in, guys? I think the fk not. And I used to run around in rooms like this all the time, but we'll get to that. First, we need to watch some clips of what went down here. Yeah.
How do the organizers justify strict mask and badge policies at the conference?
Let's get into it.
We aim to make the Socialism Conference accessible to anyone looking to share organizing lessons, learn from radical history, and build community. And, to the maximum extent possible, to ensure that no one leaves the conference having contracted COVID or another illness and suffers the resulting health and economic consequences. Even and especially if you are not someone who typically opts to wear a mask, we thank you for respecting our policy and helping us to enact a compassionate and collective approach to holding a large scale gathering during a time where COVID is spiking and other airborne illnesses are rampant.
Finally, as part of our community safety approach to the conference, badge checkers are assigned to each conference session. We rely on responsible comrades to fill the role and appreciate their help with making the conference a safe and successful event. If you are asked for your badge at the door, it may be a little bit jarring, and we understand that. But please know that our badge checkers are integrated into our larger community safety plans, which is a necessary aspect of holding a large left wing conference without relying on carceral means.
Okay guys. And this is why I say a room of leftists so often could get together for days and days upon end and then get absolutely nothing done because you have to constantly worry about who you are offending, oppressing, or putting in a marginalized position with everything you're doing at any given moment. That's why they're talking about masks, that's why they're talking about having to have your badge checked, but don't think too much of it because this is all part of our system, it's all part of our processes. Yet his t-shirt says a socialist world is possible. I don't think so with the way this is going so far. But I shouldn't get too cocky because they are congregating, and I mean to the tune of thousands of people getting together to have these discussions with masks on for fear of the spread of COVID.
Now, back in my day when I was a leftist working for an organization that did things very similar to this, I was in many a conference, many a workshop, many a meeting that looked and sounded exactly like this.
