Attorney General: January 6 Perpetrators “Must Be Held Accountable”

On the eve of the one-year anniversary of the January 6 attack on the Capitol, Attorney General Merrick Garland vowed to hold all perpetrators “accountable under law whether they were present that day or were otherwise criminally responsible for the assault on our democracy." Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff is a member of the House committee investigating the insurrection. He tells Anderson Cooper who he thinks the Justice Department should also be focusing on.  Plus, more than 340,000 students in Chicago are out of school as the teachers union and Chicago Public Schools try to reach an agreement on Covid-19 safety measures.
